Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic (STEM) at Nhulunbuy Primary School is helping to develop digitally and culturally aware individuals, who are regularly given the opportunity to practice their critical thinking, problem solving, creative and collaborative skills. This is achieved through the development of integrated learning units, that emphasis the importance of STEM in our everyday lives. We encourage students to be resilient, solution focused and persistent as they tackle complex problems in Technology like programming and manipulating digital robotics like Beebots, Spheros, Tello Drones, and EV3 Lego Mindstorms and in Science like understanding the environment and our impact on it from different perspectives. STEM is a highly engaging program that encourages group work and supports students to participate in extracurricular activities like Tournament of the Minds at a competitive state level.
